KOCKUMS MASKIN implements new flexible CNC automation concept

New production solution strengthens flexibility and creates greater value for customers at KOCKUMS MASKIN.

At KOCKUMS MASKIN, we have developed and implemented a new CNC automation concept that makes production more flexible and adaptable to changing customer needs. The investment supports the company’s long-term strategy of serving a broader range of industries and component types while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and delivery performance.

The new concept replaces a traditional robot bin-picking solution with a simpler rack and trolley system, where components are positioned in fixed, repeatable locations. This enables direct robotic handling without the need for vision technology, reducing system complexity while making it faster and easier to introduce new components or adjust production volumes.

For customers, this means a more agile manufacturing setup capable of adapting to changing demand, new product variants and future projects.

- Our customers need a manufacturing partner that can respond quickly as markets and requirements change. This new automation concept strengthens our ability to deliver flexible, reliable and competitive production solutions without compromising quality, says Johan Brengesjö, Managing Director of KOCKUMS MASKIN.

The first production cell equipped with the new concept was successfully commissioned in June in connection with the launch of a new customer program. Following the successful implementation, we will gradually introduce the solution in additional production cells to build an even more scalable and future-ready manufacturing platform.

- By continuously developing our production capabilities, we strengthen our ability to support both existing and new customers with efficient, flexible manufacturing solutions that are built for long-term collaboration, says Johan Brengesjö.
